Fused Glass

Fused glass techniques are generally used to create art glass, glass tiles, and jewelry, notably beads. Slumping techniques allow the creation of larger, functional pieces like dishes, bowls, and plates.

Stained Glass

Stained glass, in which the colored glass used for making decorative windows and other objects through which light passes, held together (traditionally) by strips of lead and supported by a rigid frame.

mosaic is a piece of art or image made from the assembling of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. It is often used in decorative art or as interior decoration.

Mixed Media

Mixed Media is artwork containing glass along with other media (rocks, shells, plates, bottles, metal, etc).  Working with mixed media is a fun way to make personal art from new, old or recycled objects.

About Susan

Susan’s interest in art began at an early age, but it wasn’t until she began to travel the world, visit historical locations and museums that really sealed her desires to explore her own artistic voice.

Accompanying her husband to his duty station in the middle east — she was exposed to fused glass, she fell in love! The was completely fascinated with the texture and the way the light can transform it – a single piece can look vastly different at different times of the day – depending on the light and shadows.

“I like to take a very strict and unforgiving rigid raw material and turn it into something of beauty.”
